SabaDos Interactive Billboards

The following video is a “Project Breakdown” that was created for social media. These videos were created to better showcase my practice and help others who may be interested in creating interactive media.

The SabaDos Interactive Billboards were created to reimagine the role of public space as a platform for creative interaction. These works transformed traditional static banners into dynamic canvases, engaging audiences with visuals that reacted to their presence. Each piece embraced the energy of the SabaDos Artist Market, a summer event where Kansas Citians can connect with local music acts, craftsmen, and artists in a monthly marketplace.

Using creative coding, the billboards became playful, evolving spaces where the people of the market directly influenced the imagery. This approach turned a typically passive medium into an active dialogue, breaking down barriers between the artwork and its audience. The July edition allowed users to affect the fluid video feedback with webcam data. The October showcase featured a DJ Battle, so the billboard became an audio-reactive visualizer, "dancing" to the music in real-time.
